Remains Found in Scurry County Confirmed as Hailey Dunn

UPDATE: Authorities confirmed at a press conference this afternoon that the remains found in Scurry County are those of Hailey Dunn.

Newswest 9 learned of the discovery about the remains from Hailey’s mother Billie Dunn’s attorney, John Young.

The remains were tested at the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification for DNA analysis and they notified authorities today.

Billie Dunn is said to be traveling to Scurry County to plan Hailey’s funeral.

The exact of cause of death is still under investigation.
